Woman Wearing Javanese Rice Hat

The inspiration for this piece was primarily technical. I was fascinated with the myriad of fabric patterns and the intracacies of her Javanese rice hat. I also like the look of this weathered, proud woman who spends her days working in the rice fields of Indonesia.
